According to Garhwal Commissioner and Board’s Chief Executive Officer Ravinath Raman, if the report is positive in the investigation, Rawal will get time to remain in isolation for 14 days. In view of this, the Rawals are being called first. Due to Corona infection last year, Rawal Ishwari Prasad Namboodri of Badrinath Dham and Rawal Bhimashankar Linga of Kedarnath Dham had to face a lot of difficulty in reaching Uttarakhand. Due to arriving here from other regions, they had to stay in Quarantine.
This time Chardham Yatra will begin on 14 May with the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri. The doors of Kedarnath Dham are to open on May 17 and the gates of Badrinath Dham will open on May 18. On the occasion of the opening of the doors of Badrinath and Kedarnath, Rawals have to be present.
In view of the fact that the two Rawals do not face any problem in reaching Uttarakhand, the government has already started exercising. The reason is that the cases of corona infection have increased in various parts of the country, including Uttarakhand, for the last few days. The Rawal of Badrinath reach here from Kerala and the Rawal of Kedarnath from Nanded (Maharashtra). According to Devasthanam Board Chief Executive Officer Ravinath Raman, both the Rawals have been approached. They will reach Uttarakhand on 27 or 28 April.
