Recently CM of Uttarakhand reviewed the work to be done in Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham at the Secretariat. The CM instructed the officers to complete the construction works within the stipulated time and pay special attention to quality. The tasks which have been affected due to snowfall should be expedited. In Kedarnath Dham, works worth about 180 crores are about to be completed. In the second phase, works worth Rs 128 crore will also be started soon in Kedarnath Temple.
The Chief Minister directed that before the opening of the doors of Kedarnath and Badrinath all the works of important nature should be completed for the convenience of the devotees. Proper arrangements should also be made for the seating, drinking water and shed for devotees. All necessary arrangements should be made around the temple keeping public amenities in mind.
Secretary Tourism Dilip Javalkar said that 85 percent of the work related to the pavilion in the first phase of reconstruction works in Kedarnath has been completed. These works will be completed by 15 April. The construction of the 60 meter span bridge over the Mandakini river will be completed before the start of the journey. Construction of three caves and Saraswati Ghat were completed in Kedarnath. The work of Shankaracharya Samadhi will be completed soon. The idol of Shankaracharya is ready.
