For the convenience of pilgrims, 12 Medical Relief Posts will be built on the Kedarnath trek route. The medical posts will be made at each 2-3 kms distance. Each post will have Doctor, Pharmacist and ward boy. Over 100 Doctors are deputed on Chardham Dham route.
There are 48 Super specialist, 50 MBBS and 6 Women doctors has been deputed on the Chardham yatra route. There will be 5 Medical Relief Posts between Rambara and Kedarnath to have Doctor. Along with that First Response Person team will also deputed on the Chardham route. Trained by Redcross, this team will provide oxygen and other facilities to patients and take them to nearest Medical Relief Post or hospital.

On my way up to Kedarnath this year, I enquired about the Medical Relief Posts, it came to my notice that MRPs do not have a doctor, it only has a Pharmacist with very limited medicines. Only BP measuring device is available.No beds, oxygen bottles, ECG etc is available.You may please check your inputs though they are of 2017, which should have only improved over a period of time.
